Social Programme

London is one of the most exciting cities in the world and you will never be bored if you come to us. We want you to have fun, make friends, speak English and enjoy all that England has to offer, so we organise an exciting and inclusive social programme.

A large variety of sports and some activities which take place in school are completely free. For some excursions and activities, you will only need to pay the cost of your travel and for others, there may be a charge.

Activities in Wimbledon

Make the most of your time at Wimbledon School of English with a varied programme of social activities and excursions. From sports and walks to cultural events and trips around London, there are plenty of opportunities to meet other students, discover new places and enjoy life in the UK outside the classroom.

Enjoy a friendly game of tennis at Wimbledon Park, just a few minutes from the school. We provide the rackets and balls, so you can simply join in, play with other students and enjoy some time outdoors.

Taking part in sports is a great way of getting together and making new friends and every week we organise group sports, such as:

We provide all sports equipment, you only need to bring suitable clothing and sports shoes.

If you want to keep fit, the Nuffield Health Fitness Centre is nearby where you can use the pool, join classes such as aerobics and pilates and make full use of the gym. 

We can also arrange tennis lessons for you on your free afternoons, and there is an excellent golf course on Wimbledon Common.
