Wimbledon School of English is a work of art

I started studying at WSE in mid-2019. My English was not good so I started learning from the beginner level but moved to the next level quickly. I studied hard until I reached the advanced level within seven months...I gained a lot of experience and knowledge, and then I was able to achieve the dream that I came to the United Kingdom for, which is to get a master’s degree and I actually got it from Queen Mary University of London...I am very proud of what I have accomplished and also proud that I was one of the students of Wimbledon School of English, where I benefited greatly.

See what some of our students say about Wimbledon School of English.

My name is Abdulrhman Eshehri and I’m from Saudi Arabia. I would love to share my story. I came to London to learn English. One of my friends advised me to study at Wimbledon School of English. I started studying at WSE in mid-2019. My English was not good so I started learning from the beginner level but moved to the next level quickly. I studied hard until I reached the advanced level within seven months. Then I started concentrating and preparing for the IELTS test and I wanted to get a high score in the test so that I could study for a master's degree at one of the most prestigious universities in the UK. After a great effort, I managed to get a high score in the IELTS test, which was 7 overall, and therefore I was able to obtain an unconditional offer from Queen Mary University of London, which is one of the most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom and one of the Russell Group. Studying at the university was never easy, but by studying hard, attending lectures, discussing with professors and students, and reading a lot of scientific research, I gained a lot of experience and knowledge, and then I was able to achieve the dream that I came to the United Kingdom for, which is to get a master’s degree and I actually got it from Queen Mary University of London. I loved sharing my story of how I started and how I achieved my dream. I am very proud of what I have accomplished and also proud that I was one of the students of Wimbledon School of English, where I benefited greatly.

Is my pleasure to write about the time I stayed you. I passed the best period of my life in WSE. I will take with me all the good memories I made during the time I studied with you in London.     I had an opportunity to meet new people, made good friends, people who I wanna stay in touch for the rest of my life.   Studying with you in WSE was a very good experience, I had the best teachers, and I could learn a lot about English and your different aspects. However, I will continue to study English all my life. Today I can talk with people, I can write in English, I can understand what people say. But I know I need to improve more and more my English. Maybe in the future with tools I obtained in WSE I can teach children in my country.   With all my experience, I’m sure my professional life will change. New doors will open.   To all my teachers, in special Julian Oakley, Rob Julian, Helen Smith, Vittorio, Sean, Sofia and Ollie, thanks for everything. You went very important in my experience with the language. Today, I’m feeling more confident with my English.   Certainly, I will continue to talk with you, and I wish all the best for WSE and all professionals.

Zoe took Live Online English classes with us and was so kind as to share her experience with us. ‘When I first heard about having online classes I was quite sceptical about it. However, I gave it a go and now I’m very happy. Clearly, it isn’t the same as normal classes, but at the moment there isn’t a better solution to the actual situation. Before the school had to close temporarily, we did a meeting on Zoom between the classes in different classrooms and our teachers showed us how it works. Don’t worry, you'll be absolutely fine - it’s very easy. Zoom is an online platform, similar to Skype, which gives us a lot of opportunities to create virtual classes. From improving our speaking skills to practise our listening or watching videos together there’s almost nothing you can’t do. It’s fascinating how authentic online-classes are to real ones. What’s more, our teachers are as motivated as they were in school and they try hard to give their best effort. It is a new experience for all of us, but we learn together and that’s great fun! I’m very grateful to have these modern techniques nowadays, which help us, even more, to keep in touch with each other in times like these.’ Zoe - Switzerland,
