WSE Policy on students joining examination courses

WSE has an inclusive policy on examination courses. We believe that all students who wish to take an examination and have shown that they are able to follow the course (through their entrance examination result, & if they are already at WSE, their progress, attitude to study and teachers' reports) should be allowed to take the course and enter the examination.

This means that if we consider a student is capable of managing and benefiting from the examination course we will allow them into the class, even if we think they may not pass the examination. We believe that the student will still learn a lot from the course and that being in an examination class will encourage the student to be focused and motivated. We will always inform a student if we think they may fail the examination, both when counseling them before they join the course, and during the course itself.

All students wishing to take an examination course must take an entrance examination before joining the course.

The school is an official centre for the Cambridge English examinations and IELTS test, which are held at regular intervals throughout the year. This means that we organise these exams here in school both for our students and others from all over London.

More information regarding these examinations can be found on The London Exam Centre website.
