The Programme

18 hours' classroom study per week + one study focussed excursion


* Debating, Presentations and Public Speaking
* Film making and Social Media
* Junior Journalist
* British Popular Culture
* Language of Sport
* University Preparation



8 hours' afternoon activities per week, including:

* Swimming
* Tennis
* Football
* Basketball
* Dance and Fitness
* Cookery Club
* Survival Skills
* Photography Walk



2 full-day excursions per week to famous cities (this includes the study-focussed excursion mentioned in The Programme section above) plus optional Sunday excursion (NB 1 full day excursion in your departure week)


Exciting optional extra activities:

* Watersports such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing and dinghy sailing - taught by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) qualified instructors.
* Horse riding and stable management - accredited by the British Horse Society Approved Equestrian School. 

These optional extras are charged at an additional price and take place off-campus and replace the standard afternoon activities (as above).  To book your place on any of these, select the appropriate option on the 2019 application form.

Pangbourne College is set in beautiful Berkshire nestled within the English countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  It is approximately 75 minutes away from Wimbledon and 90 minutes from Central London by public transport with the closest airport being London Heathrow which is only 40 minutes away. Other nearby attractions include Oxford, only 40 minutes away, and Windsor, 50 minutes away.
