We are now recruiting for summer 2017 in our residential Junior summer school.

                            

Would you like to enhance your CV, work in an international environment and have a lot of fun, as well as earn some money?

We are seeking flexible, highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable people with good communications skills to join us at our Junior Summer Centre for international students aged 11-16. 

The positions are residential and based at Lord Wandsworth College on the Surrey/Hampshire border in lovely grounds, in a beautiful part of the countryside, with excellent sports, classroom and dining facilities and modern boarding houses. The small town of Hook is only 15 minutes away by road and Basingstoke is about 25 minutes away.

The course will run from 9th July to 12 August 2017, however you may be asked to work a little before and after that time to help in the setting up and dismantling of the course.

Positions available:  We are recruiting for the following positions:

EFL Teachers

Highly motivated, professional and innovative CELTA or CertTESOL qualified. Applicants must have experience in teaching all levels from pre-intermediate to advanced, a strong desire to work with children and an interest in contributing to all aspects of the summer centre, including social activities and excursions.

Salary & benefits: £400 per week gross depending on experience plus board and lodgings at the centre. One 24-hour period off per week.

Social Activities Leaders

                              

As a Social Activity Leader, you will actively lead our students in sports and non-sports activities, excursions and assist in airport transfers. Applicants should have a collective broad range of skills, so if you have qualifications and/or experience in any of the following, then we would like to hear from you: 

Sports coaching / PE college training Lifeguarding (3m-deep swimming pool) / Arts and crafts / Drama - Working with children between the ages of 11 and 16 / International students

Residential Activities Leaders will be rostered on to additional duties to help look after the students. There is an option to take a non-residential post with lighter duties, but you will need to be based within reasonable commuting distance.

Salary & benefits: 

Residential:  £300 per week gross plus board and lodgings at the centre.  One 24-hour period off per week.

Non-residential:  Appoximately £250 gross per week (applicants should be based close to the centre). One 24-hour period off per week.

Girls’ House Parent

House Parents are responsible for the smooth running of the accommodation houses and take an active role in student welfare, discipline and safeguarding, including health & safety. They ensure students are prepared for their classes and the activities programme, lead welcome activities for new students, daily house meetings and the distribution of pocket money. House Parents will also contribute to afternoon and evening activities on certain days of the week.
