WSE Policy on students joining examination courses
All students wishing to take an examination course at WSE must take an entrance test before joining the course. In addition, if the student is already studying at WSE, their teachers are consulted as to their motivation and aptitude. If we consider a student is capable of managing and benefiting from the exam course we will allow them into the class, even if we think they may not pass the exam. We believe that the student will still learn a lot from the course and that being in an exam class will encourage the student to be focussed and motivated. Of course we always inform a student if we think they may fail the examination, both when counselling them before they join the course, and during the course itself.
The school is an official centre for the University of Cambridge examinations and IELTS Test, which are held at regular intervals throughout the year. This means that we organise these exams here in school both for our students and others from all over London.
More information regarding these examinations can be found on our examination site The London Exam Centre
