Wimbledon School of English is currently recruiting for the following positions:

Student Services and Welfare Manager

We are seeking an organised, flexible, enthusiastic and performance orientated individual to join our busy administration team.

This is a varied role in a lively international working environment. The Student Services Manager is student facing and delivery orientated and has day-to-day operational responsibility for the quality of the service provided. You will be responsible for running our busy Reception & Student Services department, which includes dealing with enquiries, giving help and advice to students and visitors, managing the reception and facilities teams, student records and administration, student visa compliance, payments and petty cash, and general administration.  In addition, as school Welfare Manager & Designated Safeguarding Lead you are responsible for all aspects of student welfare.

You must be highly organised, accurate and efficient, with management (including staff management) and administration experience, excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills and be educated to degree level. The ability to prioritise effectively, be flexible and manage under pressure is essential, in addition to strong team leadership skills as demonstrated by a proven track record in this area

Experience of working in a customer service or educational environment, experience of child protection and safeguarding, and foreign language skills are an advantage.

  • Salary in the region of £25,000.00
  • 40 hours per week
  • 28 days holiday including public holidays per annum

General Assistant 

Duties include:

  • Maintaining the highest possible standards of service, cleanliness and hygiene at all times in the school student snack bar, kitchen, classrooms, communal and outside areas
  • Serving in the student snack bar
  • Staff meals & refreshments
  • Catering for visitors and events
  • Errands
  • Looking after new students
  • Post               
  • Moving equipment & furniture
  • Cover for other members of the services team

You will be friendly, flexible and have a can do attitude, be customer oriented and be able to work within a busy environment.  You will join the support staff team therefore good attention to detail, customer service, interpersonal and team-working skills are essential. Experience of working in the service or hospitality industries, working in a multicultural environment and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage. Some heavy lifting is required and DBS enhanced disclosure certificate required.  This is a 40-hour per week contract.
